An unreleased new MacBook Pro with Wi-Fi 6E support has been found in the Canada Radio Equipment List database amid rumors that Apple plans to make an announcement as soon as tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17 to unveil new hardware.

The discovery by Wade Penner on Twitter shows that the unreleased new machine supports Wi-Fi 6E, which uses the 6GHz wireless band for faster speeds and lower latencies compared to Wi-Fi 6 and earlier iterations.

It is understood that Apple is working on upgraded versions of the MacBook Pro, with the new 14-inch and 16-inch models expected to represent minor upgrades of the current-generation machines.

According to reports, Apple’s forthcoming M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro models will offer “marginal leaps from today’s MacBook Pro processors.”

It should come of no shock that Apple’s new 2022 MacBook Pro models will bring relatively minor upgrades over the previous generation M1 Pro and M1 Max models, which launched alongside a full redesign to the MacBook Pro, featuring an iPhone-style notch, MagSafe charging, a Liquid Retina XDR display, an HDMI port, and more.
