Famous fashion designer and LGBTQ activist, Edwin Chiloba, has been found dead by Kenyan police on Wednesday.

The Kenyan Police revealed that a vehicle without a number plate was seen dropping a metal box on the road in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya.

The witness, who happened to be driving by the area when the body was dropped, had reported to police officers stationed at a roadblock around the site of the incident.

On opening the box, police discovered the body of a Chiloba dressed in woman clothing, local news media, The Star reported on Friday.

The deceased was transferred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue where the body will undergo a post-mortem to establish the cause of death.

While stating that motive for the killing was not yet established, Police Spokesperson, Resila Onyango, said, “Experts are handling the matter.”

Uasin Gishu Head of Directorate of Criminal Investigation, Peter Kimulwo, also affirmed that officers of the agency were already following crucial leads which may hopefully result in arrests.

“We will tie up some information we have and that may lead to arrests,” he said.
