Ayodhya Mandir Highlights: Consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya took place today
New Delhi:
The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya took place today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the rituals. The new Ram Lalla idol was consecrated at the 161-feet tall pink sandstone shrine during the hour-long ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony.
After reaching the Ram Mandir dressed in a golden kurta and a cream dhoti, PM Modi said that it is a “great pleasure” to be a part of this “divine program”.
Addressing a gathering at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after the consecration ceremony, he said Lord Ram will “no longer live in a tent but will now reside in a magnificent temple”.
“Today, our Ram has arrived. After a long wait for ages, our Ram has arrived,” Prime Minister Modi said.
“Our Ram has arrived today after wait, patience, sacrifices of centuries,” he told the gathering of about 7,000 saints, political leaders, industrialists, film stars, and sportspersons.
“It is Ram’s supreme blessings that we are witnessing it,” he added.

To celebrate Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya, the students of Vikash Residential School in Bhubaneswar lit one lakh diyas in the school premises creating a record of sorts. The programme was organised in the Cricket Stadium of the school, where the above arrangement of Diyas was created in an area of diameter more than 350 feet.
Earlier, Maharashtra’s Chandrapur Diya Event set a Guinness World Record by lighting 33,258 diyas.
In this remarkable artistic tribute, nearly 1,000 students, teachers, and other staff shaped the illuminated diyas in breathtaking portrait of Lord Rama, symbolizing reverence and respect for the

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after returning from Ayodhya today, said he has decided to begin a new scheme to help people set up solar panels at their homes. The decision, he indicated, was inspired by the realisation that “all devotees of the world get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram”.
“The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana” with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses,’ PM Modi said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

After the country witnessed the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya’s temple on Monday, the city was adorned with ‘Ram Jyotis’, creating a mesmerising atmosphere symbolising the divine presence of the Lord.
Meanwhile, several people participated in the mega ‘Diya’ lighting event at the famous Saryu Ghat in Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, before presiding over the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, had embarked on an 11-day ritual, visiting the places where Lord Ram had set foot, as mentioned in the epic Ramayana.
PM Modi’s 11-day ritual also included following a rigid diet consisting of coconut water and fruits, sleeping on the floor and feeding cows.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate Diwali at his Delhi home tonight. Earlier today he attended the consecration, or the pran prathistha of the new Ram Lalla temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya.
The lighting of diyas symbolises how people welcomed the return of Lord Ram with a huge enthusiasm to his birthplace.

Chiranjeevi, who attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday, said that the experience was “wonderful” and the day belonged to the whole country.
“It’s a wonderful experience. Day made for the people of entire India,” Chiranjeevi told news agency ANI after the ceremony.
Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan, who is also an actor, arrived in Ayodhya on Monday morning to attend the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

Over 1,000 km away from the historic city of Ayodhya, another grand Ram Temple today became a spiritual landmark, standing tall atop a hill around 1,800 feet above sea level in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today showered flower petals on the workers who were involved in the construction of the Ayodhya temple after the ‘pran pratishtha’ or consecration of the Ram Lalla idol was completed.
The Prime Minister, dressed in a cream kurta pajama, was seen taking out the petals from a wicker basket and showering it on the team behind the construction of the temple.

“Lord Ram Does Not Belong To Any Political Party”: Siddaramaiah
Criticising the BJP for “politicizing” Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that Lord Ram does not belong to any political party, adding that Congress is also “devoted” to Lord Ram. “Sri Ramachandra should not be confined to any political party’s agenda. We refute the narrative that we are against Sri Ramachandra. We are also devoted to Lord Ram,” Siddaramaiah said after inaugurating a temple in Hirenralli dedicated to Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman, and Lord Laxman.

“Luckiest Person On Earth”: Karnataka Sculptor Who Made Ram Lalla Idol
The Karnataka-based sculptor, who created the Ram Lalla idol for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, today said that he considers himself as the “luckiest person” on earth. “I feel I am the luckiest person on the earth now. The blessing of my ancestors, family members and Lord Ram has always been with me. Sometimes I feel like I am in a dream world,” Arun Yogiraj told news agency ANI.
“We have to now lay foundation of India of next 1,000 years… We take pledge to build a capable, grand, divine India from this moment,” PM Narendra Modi told the gathering of around 7,000 people at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Speaking at the Ram Mandir event in Ayodhya, PM Modi thanked the judiciary that paved the way for the construction of the temple.
“Even after the Constitution came into existence, legal battle was fought for decades on Lord Ram’s existence. I would like to the thank judiciary that delivered justice and Lord Ram’s temple was built in a legal manner,” he said.
He also said that the Ram temple’s construction is the reflection of “Indian society’s maturity” and that it’s an “occasion of not merely triumph but humility too”.
Speaking at the Ram temple event in Ayodhya, PM Modi said he tried to visit places during his 11-day religious exercise where Lord Ram had set foot.

PM Modi also said that Lord Ram has arrived today after the “wait, patience and sacrifices of centuries”.
“It’s such a blessing from Lord Ram that we are alive today to witness such an event,” he said.
Calling it a “beginning of a new era”, PM Narendra Modi said that “Ram Lalla won’t live in a tent anymore”. Speaking after the consecration ceremony, PM Modi said that “January 22, 2024 is not just a date on a calendar, it is the dawn of a new era”.
“This moment, this environment, this time is a blessing from Lord Ram to us,” he told the gathering.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that PM Narendra Modi has followed “stringent 11-day rituals”.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also said the entire country is “immersed in devotion of Lord Ram”.
“It appears we have arrived in ‘Treta Yug’,” he said.
After the Ram temple consecration ceremony, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the guests and said “it’s an emotional moment for all of us”.
“It has come after a 500-year wait,” he said.
“There are some feelings in my heart that I cannot find words to express. Everyone is emotional and happy. On this historic moment, every city and village in the country has turned into Ayodhya, and every path seems to be heading towards the Ram Janmabhoomi,” he added.

PM Narendra Modi has arrived in Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony at newly constructed Ram temple.

The grand consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to begin in a few hours.
The temple trust that is organising the event had invited several Opposition leaders, but they have decided to stay away.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reached the Ram temple in Ayodhya ahead of the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony.


After participating in the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla, PM Narendra Modi will interact with the workers involved in the construction of the Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir.

Ayodhya and nearby areas experienced misty weather today morning.
According to the weather department, the temple city is likely to experience ‘cold day’ conditions today, with the maximum temperature expected to settle around 15 to 17 degrees Celsius.
A ‘cold day’ is when the minimum temperature is less than or equal to 10 degrees Celsius below normal, and the maximum temperature is at least 4.5 degrees below normal.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today called the ‘pran pratishtha’ at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya an “epochal day”.
Taking to his official X account, he said it is “gratifying” to witness celebratory moment marking “reawakening of national pride all over”.
“January 22 is etched in history as defining moment of ‘tryst with divinity’ in our civilisational trajectory,” he said.
“On this day, let us resolve to inculcate Prabhu Shri Ram’s values of Integrity, forgiveness, bravery, sincerity, humility, care and compassion as a way of life to bring about enlightenment, peace, harmony and righteousness all around,” Vice President Dhankhar added.

PM Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the “historic moment” of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya will enrich the Indian heritage and culture and take the country’s development journey to new heights.
His remarks came in response to President Droupadi Murmu’s two-page letter to him ahead of the ‘pran pratishtha’ at the Ram temple.
Tagging the president’s letter, PM Modi said in a post in Hindi on X, “Honorable @rashtrapatibhvn ji, Thank you very much for your good wishes on the auspicious occasion of Ram Lalla’s consecration in Ayodhya Dham.” He added, “I am confident that this historic moment will further enrich Indian heritage and culture and take our development journey to new heights.”

President Murmu in her letter to the PM had said that the nationwide celebratory atmosphere is an uninhibited expression of India’s eternal soul and start of a new cycle in the country’s resurgence.
About five lakh laddus prepared at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain have reached Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple.
The laddus, weighing about 50 gm each, will be distributed to devotees as prasad on the occasion, an official said.
