How Google will use Fast Pair on Pixel tablet styluses
The report claims that the recently released Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2 update included some details about the stylus charging notifications feature. As per the report, Google Play services for Wear OS (version 23.02.13) have now been updated with three new “fast_pair_stylus” strings for low-battery notifications. Moreover, the company also recently updated the Settings Services app (which powers the Pixel’s Battery widget) with a “bt_stylus” icon.
Google’s stylus for Pixel tablet
Google is also expected to develop a first-party Pixel stylus pen or pencil for the upcoming tablet. This stylus is expected to offer “a good end-to-end experience” and support USB-C charging. However, Google is even expected to offer wireless charging as a USB port on the stylus will be inconvenient.
Previous leaks and renders of the Google Pixel tablet have revealed that the Pixel tablet may not have a charging surface on the side edges, like the iPad Pro. The company may also use the rear pins for the Charging Speaker Dock while the thicker bezel of the screen may even hide a charger.
