HARDY met the love of his life five years ago in Caleigh Ryan. The spouses celebrated their first wedding anniversary together in October, and it’s clear that they’re head over heels in love. From proposing at The Lyric in Mississippi to eventually tying the knot, the musician, whose full name is Michael Wilson Hardy, and his wife are so in love with each other.
Caleigh will undoubtedly be supporting HARDY as he performs as part of CBS’ New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash on Sunday, December 31. HARDY will take the stage alongside other country stars like Lainey Wilson, Trace Adkins, and Morgan Wallen, whom he’s collaborated with on a few occasions.

How Long Have HARDY and Caleigh Been Together?
The pair first met in 2017 via social media when HARDY slide into Caleigh’s DMs. They officially began their romance in 2018. During an interview with PEOPLE, the “Wait in the Truck” singer described how he and Caleigh got to know each other.
“We just started talking about San Diego and how she goes to Ole Miss and my family’s Mississippi State thing,” he said. “We kept in contact until I had a show nearby her school and told her I’d love to meet her there.”
Sparks flew instantly for the lovebirds, and HARDY was smitten. After they first met, they spent more time together until they eventually decided to give love a shot. Caleigh gushed to the outlet that they realized they were soulmates after they met for the first time.
“Once we met each other, there really was no one else,” Caleigh explained. “We never entertained anyone else. It was just so easy.” HARDY pointed out that he “loved her after the third time that we ever hung out. It was the realest thing I had ever experienced. I actually told her I loved her at Stagecoach, out in the crowd.”
When Did HARDY and Caleigh Get Married?
After dating for around four years, HARDY and Caleigh got married in Nashville in October 2022. The couple opened up to PEOPLE at the time shorty after exchanging vows, pointing out that before she walked down the aisle in her wedding gown, she and HARDY got their first glimpses of each other.
“I know that if it was in front of a giant crowd of people, he would be trying as hard as he possibly could to not cry. And I’m like, ‘No, let it all out,’” Caleigh said, even though both confirmed that HARDY shed a few tears at the altar.
The singer-songwriter also noted that they chose to write their own vows “and do them privately” because they wanted their officials ceremony to be “like 30 seconds long.”
“We just want to have a big party for everybody,” HARDY elaborated. “I’m trying to avoid having a complete meltdown in front of everyone, and I don’t think I could get through vows at the altar, and she’s the same. The vows will be for us. It doesn’t have to be for everybody else.”
Do HARDY and Caleigh Have Kids?
The spouses currently do not share children. One month after he and Caleigh wed, HARDY told Taste of Country that he was eager to become a parent whenever his wife was.
“We’re not trying yet, but hopefully soon,” he noted about having kids. “Because I’m ready to rock whenever she is.”
