“Today is another opportunity to bring to your notice one of the realization of the milestones and desires of our Association, that institutions and bodies must conduct themselves professionally before members of the public and the regulatory authorities in Nigeria and in diaspora,” ERCAAN National President told attendees at the event.

Why ERCAAN tapped biometric registration

According to him, having study the proposals for the scheme submitted by intending companies, ERCAAN “finally settled for NeGSt-TAS Technologies because of its track records of achievements with notable public and private enterprises.”

NeGSt-TAS Technologies Ltd, who has been among the leading advocate for the integration of technology and eGovernment strategies across Nigeria’s public and private sectors also confirmed its partnership with ERCAAN in a press statement made available to Technology Times.

During the unveiling of ERCAAN Biometric registration, its President said that “NeGSt-TAS Technologies shall from next month (March) commence the registration of existing members nationwide and any prospective member must now register online for data capturing.”

According to the ERCAAN President, “this exercise will give members of the public the opportunity of dealing with trusted estate agents within the country because all information that will now be on our website will be dully verified and ascertained by credible individuals. Members and non-members who are not covered by our biometric enumeration shall not have our trust and backing. With this, it will assist the government agencies, corporate bodies and members of the public to have a database of credible estate agents duly guaranteed by our noble Association.”

Alenkhe, said that ERCAAN, which was established in 1990, as a registered organisation under the Land (Perpetual Succession) Act of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been advocating for the regulation of the real estate business and practices for more than 30 years. Its members are spread across 36 states of the federation, including FCT.

Lagos, he said, has the highest number of members. The ERCAAN President is encouraging its members to complete their database with the newly-launched biometric innovation to ensure that their details can be accessed easily and quickly.

The President of ERCAAN also announced that the association will be easily accessible for inquiries and any information related to the organization. Additionally, he unveiled the logo and theme for the upcoming International Conference and Exhibition, which is scheduled for August of this year.
