Apple will return its annual “Ring in the New Year’s” Apple Watch Activity Challenge in January, rewarding users who close all three rings for seven days in a row during the month with a trio of animated stickers and a virtual trophy in the Fitness app.

Beginning January 1, 2023, users must close their move, stand, and exercise rings for seven consecutive days to complete the challenge, which Apple has hosted at the beginning of the year since 2017.

Apple is yet to officially announce the upcoming Apple Watch Activity Challenge, although the latest iOS 16.2 update shows that the iPhone maker is readying the upcoming event, with it likely that users will begin seeing the challenge showing in the Fitness app just before New Year’s Eve.

For the New Year’s Activity Challenge, users will unlock a total of five animated stickers, which will be available to use in the Messages and FaceTime apps.
