We’re in the second half of the NFL regular season, so fans are focusing on the race for the playoffs.

Like any other thrilling race, there’s a lot of jockeying for position.

The Kansas City Chiefs have edged ahead of the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles by the slightest of margins to claim the top spot on the oddsboard to win Super Bowl LVIII.

In Week 9, the Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins 21-14 in Frankfurt, Germany, for their seventh win in eight games and moved to +480 to win it all from +500. The 7-2 Chiefs had a bye in Week 10.

The 49ers bounced back last week with a convincing 34-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The victory ended San Francisco’s losing skid and now the Niners sit at +500 to win it all.

Rounding out the top 3 at +550 are the 8-1 Eagles. They had a Week 10 bye but beat rival Dallas 28-23 in Week 9.

FOX Sports Cowboys Insider David Helman said the Chiefs made a statement with the win over the Dolphins.

“With the exception of one long touchdown to Cedrick Wilson in the second half, Kansas City’s secondary put a lid on the Dolphins’ explosive passing game,” Helman said. “It was very impressive.”

Here is a look at every team’s title odds.

Should Dolphins be worried about inability to win vs. playoff teams?

Helman says Kansas City’s improved defense is allowing Patrick Mahomes and the offense to work through a rough stretch.

“Definitely not the prettiest performance we’ve ever seen from the Kansas City Chiefs,” Helman said. “Patrick Mahomes doesn’t even finish with 200 yards, but I’ve got to tell you, I would be thrilled if I was a Kansas City Chiefs fan, watching what this defense is doing. … It should be refreshing to know that the Kansas City Chiefs can win games when they’re struggling to top 24, 25 points. … This is beautiful stuff for a team that knows how to play in the playoffs.”

Two teams from the AFC North Division — the 7-2 Baltimore Ravens and 5-3 Cincinnati Bengals — made noteworthy moves up the oddsboard.

The Ravens, on a four-game win streak, moved from +1200 to +850. The Bengals, also on a four-game run, moved from +1700 to +1400.

After losing to the Chiefs, Miami fell from +950 to +1200.

The Buffalo Bills, who lost to Cincinnati 24-18 for their third defeat in five games, dropped from +1200 to +1500.

A long shot making a move are the 4-4 Houston Texans. Led by rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud‘s breakout performance, the Texans beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 39-37 on Sunday.

Houston’s odds moved from +18000 to +14000 after its fourth win in six games.
