After the 2023 college football season wrapped Monday with Michigan being crowned national champions, the focus now shifts to the hardwood, where conference play is underway. FOX Sports bracket forecaster Mike DeCourcy is here to provide an updated look at his NCAA Tournament projections.
UConn (East), Kansas (South), Purdue (Midwest) and Arizona (West) are the new top seeds in DeCourcy’s projections.
North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky remain on the 2-line, but they’re now joined by Houston. Meanwhile, Illinois, Wisconsin, Duke and Memphis are No. 3 seeds, while Auburn, Creighton, Baylor and Marquette are No. 4 seeds.
As for the teams on the bubble, DeCourcy has Kansas State, Gonzaga, Texas and Cincinnati as his first four teams out of the tournament, while New Mexico, Colorado, Butler and Drake make up his next four out.
The Big 12 and the SEC have the most representatives in DeCourcy’s compilation, leading the way with eight teams apiece. The Big East has seven teams represented, followed by the Big Ten and the ACC with six apiece and the Mountain West with four. Meanwhile, the Pac-12 has three teams represented, while the AAC has two.
