Woho wahey, it’s Apple Day!

CELEBRATE the apple in style this Saturday at Stroud farmers’ market with a magnificent display of apple varieties (and pears) laid on by Day’s Cottage, Apple Juicing live at the market with free tasters of freshly pressed juice (nectar!) and a host of appley recipes on show from the stallholders. This will be the first full on apple day since 2019 so we are really looking forward to seeing everyone celebrating this great Gloucestershire fruit.

Day’s Cottage and Seb’s Cider will have a host of single variety ciders and perrys as well as unpasteurised juice and bottled single variety juices.

In other news, Claire Powell Pottery (of the leaf décor) is finally able to return after a lengthy lay off and Newark Farm should return after a covid hit ruled them out last weekend. We had 2 stalls away because of it. Malcolm Allison Plants is back for his last market of the year with autumn planting flowering shrubs and perennials, whilst Rustic Puglia Olive Oil will be trading too.

I have had many questions about Joe from the Flea market who has the galvanised buckets and baths. He has a problem with one of his feet but will return in due course. I really should mention Cashoo too. Cashoo is the lovely stall of recycled cashmere goods such as snoods, mittens wrist warmers etc. all made in Stroud. They have returned for their seasonal stalls as the temperatures drop and looks as good as ever.
