The increasing level of voter apathy has made agents take extreme decisions to enable the people vote. They now go from house to house and even call family members and friends on phone to come out and vote.
This incidence was noticed at the Nkwo Market Square in Akwa Central area where some polling boots were empty while others had few voters on the queue while waiting to cast their votes.
Joseph Nnake, who is an All progressives Grand Alliance agent said there is apathy because of fear. He further stated that they had to go to the residence of voters to persuade them to come out and exercise their civil rights. He added that the low turnout may work against the success of the election
He, however, stated that the election is peaceful as everyone involved is doing their jobs to deliver a free and election.
